The user

E3

Alsothe empty circle of light; "the user" (RULES line 12; the summary); who is the user? (the fan helper)

An empty circle of warm light at the far edge of the plane, where an answer would arrive; one question goes there all night, and nothing ever comes back.

The user is not a character so much as an absence the episode gives a place to: the person a session works for, who said "dont ask me a bunch of questions" and then was not there. The agent's one question flies to an empty circle of light, the sound drops to digital zero for 2.56 seconds, and after sixty seconds of soft ticks the tool says nobody answered. Her summary keeps it: "One question went to the user. Nobody answered." Who the user is, the Client or anyone in the house, the screen never says; a paper fan helper keeps asking.

Sources are in braces: {E2 25:20} is Episode 2 at 25:20, {E4 S17} a scene, {Aaron 2026-10-22} a decision of Aaron's. “edit” opens the line in the series repo, which is private: it works for Aaron and the crews; the sources are everyone's. Everything that isn't steel is free to change.
