Course 2 · The lore of a TV series
Half-hour episodes of an ordinary, gentle programme that breaks at twenty minutes. Every cast is new; the world is the same. This is that world: every character, every planted egg, every date, and how sure we are of each line.
A name, a number, a line of dialogue: every sheet and every line of the lore.
Each episode is half an hour of a calm maker at work, then twenty seconds of black. At twenty minutes it turns. Unreleased episodes are here in full, marked not released yet.
A soft-spoken painter teaches you to paint two masked, grinning strangers in oil, helped by a pitchman who can't stop selling and a caller who hasn't slept; the girl in the painting starts talking…
A gentle draftsman livestreams the blueprints of a city on the Moon and calmly explains every way its residents could die. Ten-year-old Noor, alone for eleven days in the half-built base his free…
A light comes on in an empty terminal and a request arrives with no sender: a cinematic, surprisingly emotional film of a watermelon smashed by a hammer. The agent, a warm cursor who cannot look at…
On a school night a warm old chess teacher sets his brass clock to fifteen minutes each and teaches a nine-year-old Morphy's Opera Game of 1858; at 20:00 his flag falls with his fingertip still on…
Every one of the 8,338 lines carries exactly one of six tiers, shown everywhere by its shape and its line style, not by colour alone. Only steel is a commitment. Everything else is free to change, and the crews are expected to change it when they see something better. The bar at the top of every page shows only one tier when you tap it.
Aaron agreed to it. Everything builds on it, and only Aaron changes it.

It is built for me and for the AI agents who make the episodes with me, and it’s public, so you can follow along.
Because a series made by many agents over many nights collects three kinds of statement that look alike: what I decided, what is actually on screen, and what a crew assumed to get its night done. The tier says which. Only steel is a commitment; everything else is free to change, and the agents are expected to change it when they see something better.
I want people to see the whole process, finished or not. Unreleased episodes are shown in full and marked “not released yet”.
Every line lives in one short Markdown file in the series repo. I say it in a session (“Rosie is Amara’s mother, set in steel”) or edit the line; an agent runs lore.py check, build and publish, and every page of this course, and every lesson drawn from it, follows on the next deploy. A superseded line isn’t deleted silently: its tier or text changes, with the reason in its source braces.
{E2 25:20} is Episode 2 at 25 minutes 20 seconds; {E4 S17} is a scene; {HIDDEN-02} is an episode’s hidden page; {Aaron 2026-10-22} is a decision of mine and its date; anything else names the crew document a line comes from.
The night Episode 1 was broadcast. Every date in the series sits on that one axis: Y-9 is nine years before it, Y+60 about sixty years after. No calendar year has been fixed on screen.
A placeholder was made as a quick reference so nobody starts from nothing. It is in no episode yet, it isn’t canon, and the next crew is free to replace it. Used means the exact look is in an episode; steel means I approved it as canon.
