E3

Alsothe tiny workers; the chalk workers; thumbs x56 (Revision 2)

Dozens of tiny chalk stick workers hopping between chalk marks on the glass, carrying, sweeping and digging for nobody knows what; in Revision 2, the Client's fifty-six thumbs processes making thumbnails and titles for channels nobody pays to watch.

The swarm is Aaron's "bunch of tiny fast agents running around doing random tasks": the machine's busiest residents and its most pointless. They never speak, never look up for long, and freeze mid-stride when the camera finds them, then carry on. In the made episode nothing says what their work is. In Revision 2 the crew gives them a job that is worse than none: thumbnails and titles for ten thousand channels, ninety per cent of which have never had a paid view.

Every line on this page is drawn from the lore: 153 sheets and 8,338 lines of Markdown in Aaron's series repo, each with exactly one tier. Change a line there and run lore.py publish, and every page of this course follows (this copy: built 23 October 2026 from 3ab0458).

Sources are in braces: {E2 25:20} is Episode 2 at 25:20, {E4 S17} a scene, {Aaron 2026-10-22} a decision of Aaron's. “edit” opens the line in the series repo, which is private: it works for Aaron and the crews; the sources are everyone's. Everything that isn't steel is free to change.
