MOLE-2

Alsothe frozen one; mole2.exe (Episode 3's simulated machine)

MOLE-1's twin, frozen mid-push with frost on its drums between Noor's window and the berm: the robot that didn't wake up. In Episode 3 only a row in the simulated machine's process list, mole2.exe (Not responding), never on screen.

MOLE-2 is the base's grave marker. When Teo's first stamp wakes its twin, it stays dark. When he explains, as a fun fact, that robots die from the night ("You put them to sleep. And they just don't wake up."), the film looks out at MOLE-2, frosted, beside the one thing on the Moon built for no reason. Every flyby passes it. It never moves.

Every line on this page is drawn from the lore: 153 sheets and 8,338 lines of Markdown in Aaron's series repo, each with exactly one tier. Change a line there and run lore.py publish, and every page of this course follows (this copy: built 23 October 2026 from 3ab0458).

Sources are in braces: {E2 25:20} is Episode 2 at 25:20, {E4 S17} a scene, {Aaron 2026-10-22} a decision of Aaron's. “edit” opens the line in the series repo, which is private: it works for Aaron and the crews; the sources are everyone's. Everything that isn't steel is free to change.
