Lantern

Alsolantern.live; the platform; the chess app

An invented streaming platform (lantern.live: a paper-lantern glyph, an amber accent, chat, TTS donations, Nightbot, raids, a LOW LATENCY pill that ignores the Moon) where Teo draws for Noor; in Episode 4 also the boy's chess app, where Episode 2's chat regulars play and pawn.hab3 offers its draws.

Lantern is Episode 2's frame: everything we see from 00:10 is Noor's copy of a Lantern stream, its overlay assembling piece by piece, its chat, its robot voice reading paid messages, its bot's hydrate cards every five minutes. At 20:00 the whole overlay curls off her screen like old tape. Three years on the same flat look and amber are on a nine-year-old's tablet as a chess app: his lobby has three of Teo's old regulars in it, and an opponent called pawn.hab3 that answers 2.56 seconds late and always offers a draw. Its move box has a warm caret the colour of the cabin's window.
